08.Jul.2011 Aston Martin offering 150 samples of the V12 Zagato

The collaboration between car marque Aston Martin and famous design house Zagato is one that should not be missed especially if they come out with a product like the Aston Martin V12 Zagato. The two companies recently unwrapped the fusion of their creative juices at the shores of Lake Como. Aston Martin also took the V12 Zagato for a spin at the Nurburgring track to prove to everyone that the car is not just all about good looks.

Aston Martin went low profile when asked if the V12 Zagato will reach consumers. There are reports now that a few will be built and also suggests that the five decade old tandem of Zagato and Aston Martin only produce cars for those who want the best of the best for their rides. In short, the V12 Zagato comes very expensive.

Some reports say that the carmaker will be releasing around 150 samples of V12 Zagato. Each car will approximately have a tag price of around 364,000 euros and that is even before taxes. If the information is accurate, the V12 Zagato will have a sticker price that is twice as much as the DBS and about two and a half of the price of the V12 Vantage from which it was spawned.

If you will look at the current lineup of Aston in the United States and do some math to convert its price, the V12 Zagato comes at around $500,000 each.

Is it worth it to buy the V12 Zagato when you can buy two production models of Aston Martin for the same price? Quite debatable. We are pretty sure though that the V12 Zagato will still sell like hot pancakes.
