Why? Because all I myself got was a sneak peek, of course, but I am so unabashedly, modestly selfless, I wanted to share it with all of you.

A mid size sedan, as you can see by its design, Kia is heading in a different direction. The Optima is both lower and longer, not to mention wider, than most of Kia’s models.

In the fall of 2010, the United States and various other markets will be able to get their hands on the car. The European market, however, will have to wait until Spring of 2010.

The design of the cars and trucks that are coming out in concept form not only develop on their way to production but they lead into some of the best features. Many cars would not be equipped with all of the things that they have now if a concept was not built.

That is the reason why concept cars are so, so important and why we need them and why they are shown constantly at auto shows – like the Detroit Auto Show!

One reason why we need concept cars is because without them – all of the cars and trucks would look exactly the same and do we really want that? Also, there would be no ideas at all to breed and that is where all of the new features come through.

In the next blog, we will talk about what would happen if we did not have any concept cars!

Recently, the Mini branch unveiled the new Beachcomber concept, which will be publicly revealed early in 2010, in Detroit at the NAIAS.

The Beachcomber gets its inspiration from way back in the 1960s, specifically from a feisty little number known as the Mini Moke. The Beachcomber is a four seater with both a hard top and a soft top, both of which can be removed; the doors can be removed as well. The vehicle is less than four meters in length and it will actually preview the upcoming Mini SUV, which will also debut in 2010.

We all know that Audi is an automaker that we can not only trust but one that we have grown to love … now, Audi is actually partnering with Quattro and I have to say that this is a fantastic combination. The brand new Audi Metroproject Quattro Concept is actually a concept car that is in the works right now and it is definitely a car that I am looking forward to.

The Audi Metroproject Quattro Concept will reportedly only be available with about one gearbox, but it is a seven speed S-Tronic automatic transmission. This car is going to be by far one of the best in the world … and I speak from experience!

So if you are in the market for an Audi minicar … this concept car is certainly going to turn your wheels!

It has to be said that the Superformance MKIII R Cobra is by far one of the prettiest cars that I have ever seen … while I might not have driven this particular car, the overall look of it is beautiful. To be honest, I think that the Superformance MKIII R Cobra is certainly a mid-life crisis car, however … it drives beautifully.

While most people dispute the fact that this car is a sports car at all just because of the way it handles the curves and such, I have to tell you that the Superformance MKIII R Cobra is a car that I would consider not only a sports car but also a car that I want!

The modern look and feel of the Superformance MKIII R Cobra is definitely different and certainly appealing … did I mention that I want this car?

It proves to the be result of four years worth of work, not to mention two other show cars. Designed as a supercar, it has a front mid engine, a skin made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, and it is strong but lightweight.

There have been some issues with presentation; most people did not like the fact that Lexus chose to showcase the long awaited LFA in white. However, that is a pretty petty argument when you stop to think about it. Yeah, it doesn’t really do anything great for the vehicle, but neither does it detract from what the LFA has to offer.

Such as an interior which is focused on the driver and completely hand built, or the leather and Alcantara upholstery.

And yes, that does include rectangular shaped vehicles as well.

So that is likely why I like the Daihatsu Basket concept, which premiered at the recent auto show in Tokyo. Daihatsu is a Japanese automaker, one I only heard of rather recently. It is designed for people who live in more rural environments, rather than in the city.

It is a four seater, the hardtop can be removed over the seats in the front, and in the back, there is a canvas top which can be removed.

I don’t know, it just looks cool. Who knows if it will ever make it to the States, but frankly, I kind of hope so.

In this day and age, it seems that everyone is all about the front-wheel drive cars … do you remember back in the day when rear-wheel drive cars were the thing? Well, Toyota is taking back the rear-wheel drive concept and they have incorporated it into the brand new 2010 Toyota Mark X. This 2010 car is actually going to be pretty damn cool.

This little model for me looks awesome – I absolutely love the headlights on the 2010 Toyota Mark X and I think that the wheels as well as the overall shape of the 2010 Toyota Mark X looks absolutely incredible. The grill is something that I have fallen for and the tail lights look awesome.

If you want a sporty-looking car with the rear-wheel driving aspect, the 2010 Toyota Mark X is the car for you!

The new model, a convertible coupe, boasts an exterior which has been completely redesigned, as has the interior. Like its forebear, however, the roof is still in three pieces and can be retracted, and the car still has accommodations for seating four people.

Inside, the details are said to be much more exclusive. The trim details are designed to make the car feel even more luxurious as well. In addition, both the front of the car and the rear of the car have seen a complete redesign too.

Inspiration comes straight from the concept for the S60.
