Okay guys – it has to be said that I have not seen a Lincoln yet that I like.  Lincoln is just a brand that I do not really think about but when I saw that Lincoln Concept C debuted at the Detroit Auto Show, I fell in love.  This is a car that looks so futuristic and different; it truly is one of the most unique cars on the market.

If you are looking to stand out, the Lincoln Concept C is it.  While right now, it is just a concept, the concept, from the negotiations that are taking place right now seems to be pulling through rather quickly.  Mass markets hopefully will be able to get the Lincoln Concept C in 2012 – hopefully!

Okay guys – so this is one car that I could not resist putting up just because of how beautiful it is.  The brand new 2011 Lotus Elise is one car that I think that everyone should just fall all over.  Not only does the front look absolutely incredible but the back of the 2011 Lotus Elise is also something that I love.

However … one thing that you should know about the 2011 Lotus Elise is that it will actually not be available in North America.  You heard me right, if you want to get the 2011 Lotus Elise you will have to import it – or maybe buy it and bring it back that way.

Overseas is lucky huh?  Sorry people in the states, you are just going to have to suffer without the 2011 Lotus Elise next year.

The concept for this vehicle was only recently unveiled at Geneva’s 2009 motor show. The Duster is actually meant to respond to the unfulfilled need for an off road vehicle that is both affordable and economical.

I have to admit, I do not really have any use for an off road vehicle — although the economical and affordable bits I am quite fond of — but something about the overall look of the Dacia Duster makes me quite sad that it will not be launched on the United States market.

I do not get all antsy in the pantsy over vehicles all that often, but goodness gracious (sorry, dudes, it is sort of a PG blog, you know?), the Mazda Furai concept is so … effin hot, it makes me want to do and say things that … well, that I cannot even begin to mention in a PG blog.

But just stare at this picture for a minute, or five, or ten, and I bet you will figure out what I mean.

It is just so low slung and sexy, you can almost hear it purring like a jungle cat in heat right through the picture, you know what I mean?

Yesterday – oh folks, yesterday was a very good day for Mazda because they finally, finally revealed that they are going to be bringing the 2011 Mazda2 to North America.  It was announced yesterday and I have to say that this is a huge, huge deal!  I have been waiting for the 2011 Mazda2 to come on over to the states and now it is almost here!

At the West Coast show, the 2011 Mazda2 was certainly the highlight of the day for a lot of people but most importantly, this particular car is now going to be for sale!  Mazda has always been a car brand that I have loved … you know what you are getting when you buy a Mazda, but I have been waiting for them to come out with a hatchback car.

Now they have answered my prayers and the 2011 Mazda2 is on it’s way soon enough!

When the economy fell – car companies were trying to recover themselves a little bit and they have been truly trying to work with their customers.  That is why companies like Hyundai have actually come up with the Hyundai Assurance Program.  This is a program that is awesome if you fear for your job.  It basically lets you return your car if you suffer a loss of employment.

What you might not know about this particular program is that it is actually going to be sticking around until the end of 2009 however its future is something that might be in jeopardy.  It looks like while everyone else is down in the market for this year – Hyundai’s is actually up and I think that it has a lot to do with this particular program.

I love the fact that you can return the car if you do, truly lose your job.  After all, that is the worst thing in the world to have to deal with your credit becoming smashed because you can not pay for a car any longer.

The additional funding is a clear indication that the program will continue despite confusion that it will have a very short run. The extra budget will be re-allocated from the $787 billion stimulus funding approved early 2009.

The U.S. Transportation announced last week that the cash for clunker was to be cancelled only four days after its official launch. The U.S. Senate however clarified that the White House encourages the people to purchase cars following the guidelines of the program.

The cash for clunkers program allows owners of cars that cannot achieve a fuel mileage of at least 18mpg are qualified for a government voucher of $3,500 when they buy a new car that will be efficient by at least 4mpg more. Those who can improve their fuel efficiency by at least 10mpg will get an assistance of $4500 for a new vehicle.

The criteria for purchasing a truck require the owner to at least achieve 2mpg more than their old truck and at least get a minimum mileage of 2mpg. This will qualify for a voucher of $3500. Those improving the mileage by 5mpg qualifie for the $4500 fund boost.

It is not yet clear up to when the Cash for Clunkers will be in effect. Consumers are advised to go to their car dealers as soon as possible to take advantage of the CARS. Additional funding might be allocated further to make the program last.

This is something that has been coming for a while and while no buyout price has been announced as of right this moment, the statuses of the engine designs were also not mentioned.

These two manufactures are two of the hugest and Chrysler bought them out – pretty impressive. Stay tuned for more auto news!

While the Mazda MX-5 Superlight Concept is only a concept car right now – it is definitely one car that is going to be gaining a hell of a lot of attention at Frankfurt.  It is a car that everyone is going to want to drive and it is a car that people will actually want to drive … which is perfect.

The Mazda MX-5 Superlight Concept was actually born because of the MX-5 Miata’s 20th anniversary and I think that it is going to be one hot car in Frankfurt!
